One of the most beneficial parts of the seminar was having RTI explained to us in detail by an actual teacher that has gone through the process before. Mrs. Griffith provided us with real-world connections of experiences that she had gone through when providing RTI for students. For us, RTI was something that we had heard of during our PDS 1 rotations, but had never had it explained to us so that we could understand it. Mrs. Griffith also explained the how-to process to us to give us an idea of what we would do when providing RTI for our students. We learned the difference between the tiered levels and what kind of intervention is provided at each level. We felt that the information given to us was extremely helpful in our development as teachers and gives us an idea of what to expect when we are in a situation where we need to provide intervention for our students. It was a pleasure having Mrs. Griffith speaking at our seminar and we can see her being a valuable resource in the future when we set out on our first experiences as teachers.
